Fern Ridge Shores is a quiet, 55+ community nestled lakeside between parks and a wildlife preserve. It includes large generous RV spaces with full hookups to accommodate all sizes of recreational vehicles from mega motorhomes to large 5th wheels and trailers, as well as park models like this beautiful one at the left. And on a separate road there is also an exclusive manufactured home park which is not age restricted. There is also a lovely marina where you can dock your boat at one of our many protected slips.

Fern Ridge Shores includes more than a dozen lakefront sites. Many of the residents have built large metal carports to protect their RV's from the weather. Others have built private enclosed yards for pets, gardens and the like.

Besides the waterfront spaces there are many other scenic spaces around the park, some tucked back under tall fir trees while others back onto abundant greenspace.

In addition to the long term spaces in the RV park, Fern Ridge Shores also offers dry camping spots lakeside over by the marina. This is for short term camping for self contained vehicles... no services are offered. But there is a dump station and water available to dry campers who may also use the public restrooms and showers over by the office. Staying in the dry camp area lakeside also entitles you to launch your boat for the day. If you enjoy your stay here enough you can inquire at the office about the availability of long term spaces, and you can live right here at Fern Ridge Shores full time!

Fern Ridge Shores offers a wide range of recreational opportunities at Fern Ridge Lake, a large inland lake located just 12 miles west of Eugene, Oregon, where sailing, water skiing, fishing and cruising are enjoyed all season long by residents of this quiet lakeside community. Fern Ridge Shores has its own launch ramp and marina which can accommodate about 100 boats and is available to both park residents and area residents as well.

Fern Ridge Lake is about 14 square miles or roughly 9000 acres in size and can be accessed in several locations around the lake shore. There are two public marinas, Richardson Marina and Orchard Point Marina located at the north end on either side of the dam. Fern Ridge Shores RV Resort and Marina is located out on a point about midway down the western shore. Sailing is one of the most popular recreational activities at the lake, which is renowned for its steady predictable winds, mostly from either the north or from the west.

Fishing is also a very popular activity at Fern Ridge Lake. Fish species include white crappie, brown bullhead catfish, largemouth bass and bluegill. There are lots of little nooks and crannies to fish around the 30 mile perimeter. The Army Corps of Engineers controls the dam at Fern Ridge Lake and the season generally runs from April 1 to October 1.
